Revolution Student Ministries

Revolution Student Ministries is a dynamic worship experience empowered by God to birth a genuine movement among teenagers. At Revolution Student Ministries you will find yourself suddenly thrust in the middle of a multimedia experience accompanied by games, food and other activities. The students will also be challenged with a life changing message applicable to current youth culture.

Each week our service includes approximately 25 minutes of passionate worship led by the REVO band and a 30-minute message by one of our student ministries pastors.

• For ages 12 - 18 (6^th - 12^th grade)
• Meets Wednesday evenings at 7 pm in the Gym

An essential part of Revo Student Ministries is being determined to speak to a "shifting" generation, a youth culture unique to the world. Revolution Student Ministries uses contemporary methods such as media, lighting, drama and impacting music to teach timeless truths to our students. We also have relevant messages where young people are boldly challenged to live out loud for Christ.

A recent survey asked 10,000 students what the foremost item was that they looked for in a church. According to the results of that survey, these teens wanted a church to be a place where they can feel safe and can be themselves. At Revolution Student Ministries, we take this seriously and strive to create such a place, a place that is "user friendly" and one that is decorated in a manner relevant to teens.

Available for the teens enjoyment are video games, pool and ping-pong tables, foosball, air hockey, and a cafe area, all of which produce a friendly environment where teens can hang out and establish relationships.

There are several ways for students to get connected into Revolution Student Ministries. These include:

• Youth Retreat: A Weekend retreat at an out-of-town facility conducive to fun and fellowship. Sports, varied activities, and special services make up the agenda for these awesome weekends. Retreats are help each Spring and Fall.
• Summer Camp: Revolution Student Ministries joins with other young people from Assemblies of God churches throughout the Peninsular Florida District for a week of unforgettable fun, fellowship and spiritual challenge. Many young lives have been radically changed as a result of getting away from external influences of every day life and getting in an atmosphere where they can experience God in a fresh and relevant way.
• Care Groups: Situated throughout the greater Orlando area, Revolution Student Ministries has a variety of care groups led by students and adults. Our care groups embrace the commonalities between teens at Revolution while maintaining an open door to the unchurched youth in our community. Schedules, times and locations of the groups offered are available from the Student Ministries Office or at the Care Group Display in the Worship Center.
  Below are just a few examples of some of the groups that we have:  
  • Outreach Ministry: Revolution Student Ministries takes the gospel to the streets of Orlando each month through personal witnessing, distribution of tracts, and various other venues. One of the best ways to grow stronger in faith is to share Christ with others.
  • Fine Arts: Students actively participate in Revolution Student Ministries on a weekly basis through the mediums of mime, drama, dance and music (Praise & Worship Team, Revolution Band). We want to encourage and develop the many diversified talents within our youth group.
  • Campus Ministry: Students are challenged weekly to take what they experience at Revolution and bring it to their campuses. Weekly prayer meetings are coupled with acts of servanthood to promote Christ on the campuses of public and private schools of Central Florida.

The above is not an exhaustive list of what we do. However, it should be noted that Revolution Student Ministries is not a program driven ministry; rather, we are a ministry that enthusiastically works to build relationships between teenagers, adults and most importantly, God. We have an awesome group of committed adult leaders who work diligently to ensure that all of our students will feel loved, cared for, and accepted. We want to see an army of young believers arise and begin to aggresively advance God's kingdom.
