Calvary Outreach and Transitions Ministry

We wish to serve the Orlando community with all diligence and love, letting nothing stand in the way of bringing the hope of Jesus Christ to the world.

Our vision is to help all in need through direct contact or by referring them to reputable sources in our community.

We believe that by helping them, we will teach them that they can handle any crisis with the help of Jesus Christ, empowering them to teach others the same.

2008 Servant Report: People Serving People

Calvary's Outreach Center and Transitions Ministry staff members (Clint Wallace, Steve Sienkiewicz, and Ursula Jewell) along with fantastic volunteers experienced explosive growth over this past year. The Outreach Center gave out 5,228 meals to the homeless and the Transitions Ministry cooked and served 2640 meals for the homeless. On top of that, the Outreach Center also gave out 3,875 bags of food to families in need.

Calvary's Outreach Center & Transitions Ministry distributed a total of 91,548 lbs of food in 2008. With the average meal weighing 1.5 lbs, we estimate that the Outreach Center & Transitions Ministry distributed a total of 61,032 meals in 2008.

Volunteer Opportunities

It takes many combined efforts to facilitate this ministry to all those in need, Sunday through Friday of each week. Workers are needed in the following areas: Donation Pick-up, Food Pantry, Clothing Distribution, and Sunday Bus Driver.
