Jesus said "Even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve..." Matt. 20:28. Calvary Assembly feels led by the Lord to do more community based ministry. We want to move outside of the walls of the church and make an impact by serving the community as a body of believers in action.

Be An Angel Therapy DogsBe an Angel Therapy Dogs Ministry, Inc. is an all volunteer, non-profit organization, who participates in animal-assisted activities "Turning Frowns Upside Down" for many people, from children with special needs, to elderly persons with limited mobility. June and Ross Feezel have been doing this type of work since the mid 90's. The Be an Angel Therapy Dogs Ministry, Inc. was established in 2004 to provide organizations whose members are tested, insured and registered through Therapy Dogs Inc., a national organization, but also provides an opportunity for volunteers from the Central Florida area to participate in animal-assisted activities with other like-minded people. Buddy BreakThis free respite program buddies individual/family volunteers with kids with special needs one Saturday a month to bring encouragement and practical assistance. Volunteers are needed to buddy up with VIP kids, to lead music, for administration, parent concierge and more. Hubbard HouseThis facility provides families of patients from outside the Orlando area a place to stay. The Hubbard House has served thousands of families facing the extra burden of finding convenient and affordable temporary lodging in times of crisis. Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve meals, as well as other things, to families staying at the house. Knitter / CrafterThis group will fellowship as they make handcrafted items to be used &enjoyed by babies, children &their families staying at Arnold Palmer &Winnie Palmer Hospitals and/or the Beta Center. This can include but is not limited to: knitted/crocheted booties, caps and blankets. Letters for SoldiersThis group reaches out to soldiers and military families through cards, letters of encouragement and prayer, and support. If you would like to support our troops and their families, please consider joining this group. It can be as simple as sending a thank you card. Life for KidsLife for kids is a licensed, private, non-profit Christian adoption agency whose mission is to support a woman's choice to give her child life even when she is unable to parent. A Center for Women offers education, help, and life affirming support to women facing unplanned or crisis pregnancies. Ronald McDonald HouseProvides accommodations and compassionate support for families of children with life-threatening illness. Volunteers are needed to play a vital role in making Ronald McDonald House a home for our families. TLC A Center for WomenThis ministry offers free pregnancy tests, options counseling, past abortion counseling, material assistance, and parenting classes to couples who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy situation.
