Are you looking for a way to get involved and make a difference in your local community? Come join us at Community Fest for an opportunity to find an organization that interests you, fits your schedule, and makes a positive impact in the community. We have volunteer opportunities for all ages and
interest groups! All we need is your involvement to make a huge impact in our community! It's Time to Turn Your Compassion into Action! Arnold Palmer Medical Center
for Women and Children/BabiesArnold Palmer Medical Center Volunteer Services covers both the pediatric hospital (Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children) and the women and babies hospital (Winnie Palmer Hospital). Volunteer opportunities include services on the nursing units, Emergency Department and Labor and Delivery Triage as well as services in support departments such as Human Resources, Medical Records and Central Supply. Volunteers normally work a 4 hour shift once a week. Teen volunteer opportunities are available for teens 15 years old and over.
Buddy BreakThis free respite program buddies individual/family volunteers with kids with special needs one Saturday a month to bring encouragement and practical assistance. Volunteers are needed to buddy up with VIP kids, to lead music, for administration, parent concierge and more.
Cafe Leo Do you have a heart for our Law Enforcement Officers? This group offers coffee & bagels to patrolling officers. This is a great way to serve those who serve us and minister to them.
Car Care Are you a mechanic that can give up one Saturday during the month? This group will provide free oil changes to people in need who can not afford the maintenance.
Cards of CompassionThis group will gather to create handmade cards, sign greeting cards, and write short notes to people in the hospital, nursing homes or shut-ins to let them know people care about them and are praying for them. Donations of paper, scrapbooking scraps & glue are always welcome.
Calvary Outreach CenterVolunteers are needed to facilitate this ministry to the poor and needy, Monday through Thursday of each week. Workers are needed in the following areas: Donation Pick-up, Food Pantry, and Clothing Distribution.
Charity Activity Group Turn your interest in walking, running, biking and swimming into an opportunity to help charities. This group will participate in local events; 5k’s, marathons, triathlons, bicycling races- supporting charities like: Breast Cancer Awareness, the YMCA, Kids Charities, etc.
Community Care TeamsThe purpose of this team is to provide the elderly with free, practical, non-medical help. Services that a care team might provide include: meals for those who are ill, injured or recuperating (short-term basis). Transportation for those who are unable to drive, visitation, respite for caregivers.
Cornerstone HospiceAs a volunteer, you are a vital part of both the Cornerstone Hospice team and our entire organization. Volunteering is an action of your heart as well as a project for your mind. In addition to contributing your time energy, and talents, you will find special rewards of your own. If you have 2-4 hours available, once a week, to share yourself with another, I hope you will consider joining our Cornerstone hospice team. Here are just a few things you can do to volunteer: Patient and family services, office assistance, special events, and live enrichment. We support our volunteers with 16 hours of training, monthly in-services/continuing education, and monthly newsletters highlighting events and achievements.
Covenant HouseKids don't respond to programs, institutions, facilities, but they do relate to people who value their intrinsic worth through consistent, affirming words and actions. Volunteering at Covenant House Florida offers opportunities to participate in a vital mission to provide help and hope for runaway and homeless youth.
Generational MentoringThere are residents of Calvary Towers who would love to have visitors and have a wealth of experience and wisdom to impart to us. Spend time mentoring and being mentored by sharing stories, playing cards or watching a movie. Receive a blessing by giving just an hour a week with a senior.
Habitat for HumanityAt Habitat for Humanity Orlando, we build more than houses – we build hope for families and build strength within our communities. To accomplish this, we rely on a workforce of volunteers to help us build our homes. Both skilled and unskilled labor is always needed!
Handy HelpersDo you have a handy skill? Both skilled and unskilled labor is needed to assist members of our congregation & community that could use a reliable, trustworthy handyman, but can not afford one. We can use any type of skill or talent. If you would be interested in using your vocation and/or talents as a ministry opportunity and blessing to someone, please consider volunteering.
His Healing HandsThis ministry is a Purpose driven ministry working with those who need to find renewal in their life. It ministers in churches, in prisons and to those who need recovery from being behind bars. We need volunteers that are interested in getting involved in aftercare and mentoring with someone who is coming home from jail or rehab for drugs and/or alcohol. Meetings are held once a week to help people stay on track through discussion, encouragement, guidance & prayer. Consider becoming a positive role model & mentor.
House of HopeA Christian residential program for troubled boys and girls ages 14-17. House of Hope provides housing, schooling and extra curricular activities to teens that were using drugs, promiscuous and/or abused. Volunteers are needed to serve in the cafeteria, teach extra-curricular activities, grounds projects, yard work & more.
Hubbard HouseThis facility provides families of patients from outside the Orlando area a place to stay. The Hubbard House has served thousands of families facing the extra burden of finding convenient and affordable temporary lodging in times of crisis. Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve meals, as well as other things, to families staying at the house.
Knitter / CrafterThis group will fellowship as they make handcrafted items to be used & enjoyed by babies, children & their families staying at Arnold Palmer & Winnie Palmer Hospitals and/or the Beta Center. This can include but is not limited to: knitted/crocheted booties, caps and blankets.
Letters for SoldiersThis group reaches out to soldiers and military families through cards, letters of encouragement and prayer, and support. If you would like to support our troops and their families, please consider joining this group. It can be as simple as sending a thank you card.
ORMCORMC Volunteer Services provides an opportunity to give back to the local community hospital from clerical, patient services, to clinical areas; we have a spot for you!
Union Rescue MissionThe Union Mission helps the hungry and hurting in Central Florida. The facility has housing, classrooms, a learning center, nursery and gymnasium. With its vast campus they are in great need for volunteers to serve lunch and dinner, help in the nursery and family life center, tutor adults in math & reading and sort/organize clothing.

Practical Love for Chemo PatientsAre you interested in helping cancer patients? Every day cancer patients go for chemotherapy by themselves. This process can be very scary and lonely. If you can provide a friendly face and a warm heart to patients, getting involved in this group will
Steps of PrayersDo you have an interest in praying with people? We are looking to set up a prayer booth around Lake Eola and need volunteers who are willing to pray for people on the streets of Central Florida.
