How can I support missions?

Thailand Childcare Sponsorship: This sponsorship program will help provide funds, counseling, and general support to needy children in the slums of Bangkok and Pattaya, and in poor rural villages. $30.00 a month will support a child; $50.00 a month will support a staff member.

Elementary Education: $150.00 will provide one year of elementary education for a Thai child.

High School and College Education: This fund is for the education of teenage girls of High School and College age. Girls that receive an education are able to obtain gainful employment, thus preventing them from entering a life of prostitution.

A Home of the Open Heart: $30.00 a month per child is needed for this AIDS orphanage which cares for mothers and their babies.

A House for Terminally Ill Mothers With AIDS to live with their babies can be purchased for $5,000.00.

House for 20 Orphaned AIDS Babies with Home of the Open Heart is needed.  The cost is $52,000.00.

A Missionary to the Children of the Pattaya Slums that Calvary supports needs a used truck to transport children to church. $5,000.00 is the cost for the vehicle.  10 people are needed to pledge $20.00 a month to provide these precious children with medical help.

House of Refuge: This is a home for teenage girls that have been sexually abused.  An additional home needs to be built in order to care for more girls. The cost to get started is $6,000.00.

Daughters of Thailand: $50.00 a month will support a Thai girl or a Thai woman that comes to Christ out of prostitution.

Discipleship Training School: Following their salvation, many of the precious “Daughters of Thailand” desire to serve God in full-time ministry. $550.00 will send one girl to North Thailand for in-depth training at a “Youth With A Mission” school. (Calvary has sponsored four women to date; Keack is now a cook for the Tamar Center, Thip is the director of the Tamar Center card ministry, Oh is a Tamar staff member and Phet is a worship leader.)

Property for a Halfway House: Calvary has been blessed with donations of more than $100,000.00 for this project over the past 3 years. Pray with us that an additional $150,000.00 will come in for the purchase of land or a building in Pattaya, Thailand.

Thailand Childcare Orphan Fund: $30.00 a month per child or one-time gifts are needed for this ministry that Calvary has recently begun sponsoring. Every dollar will go directly to one of these orphanages that are caring for the precious children.

Full Gospel Church of Pattaya: Pastor Sanay is a Thai pastor whose vision is to reach out to people living in the slums (the poorest of the poor) of Pattaya. Calvary began supporting Pastor Sanay in 2004.  In just 2 years, the church has outgrown 2 buildings and needs a larger facility. 10 people are needed to pledge $20.00 a month to this endeavor.

The Shelter Drug Rehab Center: At least 10.3 million people in Thailand have taken drugs during the past year; 2.7 million on a regular basis. 60% of the adults are under 19; 50% are children and teenagers. The Shelter is Thailand's equivalent to Teen Challenge. Located in Bangkok, the medication they use to help addicts is Jesus Christ. Sadly, young men are often turned away because of lack of funds. That is heartbreaking to a former heroin addict as me, Jim Dycus. The cost of supporting each resident is $75.00 each month. Currently, the Center is in need of an additional $1,000.00 per month to meet their $1,700.00 monthly budget.  10 people are needed to pledge $100.00 a month or 20 people at $50.00 a month.

Home of Joy: This ministry provides a home for children under the age of 5 who have physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. All of these children have been orphaned or abandoned due to abuse or neglect. A new location is necessary because the current home is snake-infested and in an unsafe neighborhood.  A used van to transport the children is also needed.  The cost of the van is $5,000.00.

Eden House: Founded in 1997, Eden House is a Christian home situated 30 miles from the Burmese border. The House is dedicated to rescuing young girls from extreme "at risk" situations. Most of the girls are Ahka, (a hill tribe group in the Northern Thailand) which is considered to be the lowest class by many of the Thai people. At this time, there are 15 girls, ages 5 14. Monthly support of $30.00 per girl and sponsors for education ($150.00) per year are urgently needed.

Tamar Center: Founded in 1999, the Tamar Center has been very effective in reaching young women, ages 15 30, who are involved in prostitution. Recent statistics estimate that the number of prostitutes working in Thailand range from 300,000 to 2.8 million. The staff and visiting mission teams go into the bars of Pattaya on a weekly basis, inviting them to the Tamar Center for English classes and Bible Study. Those that stay at the Center are offered jobs making cards, hairdressing, sewing, or cooking. $550.00 will send one of these precious girls to a 3 month discipleship training program. $50.00 a month will support a Tamar staff member and $125.00 will rent an apartment that 3 or 4 of the staff and/or students can live in.

Evangelistic Crusades: Calvary Assembly is partnering with Missionary Ventures, who will be doing evangelistic outreaches in South Africa.
$10,000.00 is needed for this endeavor.  Missionary Ventures is also starting a Pastor's Training School in Siberia, Russia. You may want to give to help start this vital ministry.
